The current generation has more opportunity than any culture in the history of humankind.
And we stay busier than ever, trying to take advantage.
Ironically, most of us don’t enjoy half of the things that are keeping us busy:
- Finishing that show we don’t love, merely because we’re near the end of the season.
- Staying up on the latest news, even when it feeds our frustration.
- Accepting invitations, because a quick “yes” is more comfortable than “no, but thank you for thinking of me.”
Attention is our most precious resource. And in this age of distraction, we should be ruthless about what/who we give it to.
Once we give it away, there’s no getting it back.
