As we build familiarity and trust, we allow ourselves to relax. Communication becomes easy and synchronization effortless. A trusted partner is a true gift.

But after years and years of climbing together, sometimes we allow ourselves to relax too far. There’s a fine line between trust and complacency that is difficult to see when everything is going right. It becomes clear when something goes wrong.

When the unexpected happens, you won’t have time to ready yourself.
