Some days, the weather just won’t be good enough for redpoint attempts. Forcing the issue is futile.
The question is what to do next.
How can I get the most out of this session, now that my original plan has been compromised?
A hard day at the crag trying repeats, pushing into discomfort to keep your mind sharp.
Or some training to top off your strength.
Neither are what you intended,
and neither are ideal.
Both are better than doing nothing.
No season ever goes 100% according to plan.
The most successful among us are those who have learned how to pivot when needed, to get something positive out of every single day.
