“I used to be awesome…”

It’s unfair to compare yourself today to your personal highlight reel.

Because you won’t always be up.

From the dip, you look back at the previous peak and wonder where you went wrong, forgetting the work, the failures, and the doubt you suffered to reach that great height.

It’s tempting to panic at the bottom of the dip.

to bail,

to pivot,

to cease putting in work.

It helps to remember that you’ve already endured the descent: the hardest part of the journey. Keep moving forward, and you’ll soon find yourself climbing toward your next peak.
