In a world of curated content, perfect is the new standard.
We hope to inspire by dressing ourselves up: sharing achievements and our personal bests.
But we do the world a disservice when we filter out the dips. All we leave them with is our highlight reel to compare themselves to.
On the other hand, when we open up with humility and candor, we give the world a gift.
This is my doubt.
This is where I stumbled.
This is what I learned.
Share a carefully groomed story, and we might get some admiration.
Share a story of our struggles and our honest imperfection, and we might change someone’s life.
