A guide to holiday feasting

The holiday’s are a good time to relax, to be social, to enjoy good food and drink. 

But they can become a big setback for those with weight-loss and health goals.

A tip for those who want to minimize the damage:

  • Start with plenty of quality protein before treating yourself to novelty foods.
  • Example: Turkey and roast first; a little stuffing and pie after.
  • This strategy does wonders to control your satiety and keep you from going back for that third slice of pie (the one you are too full to enjoy).

Just because you went off course for a day doesn’t mean you’ve blown the diet.

Enjoy your feast. Guilt is not allowed.

If you go off the rails, remember that you are only one meal away from being right back on track.
