Planting seeds, and then cultivating those seeds to grow fruit, is fundamentally different than buying the fruit off the shelf.
Planting and cultivating is harder, takes a great deal more time, and doesn’t always work out.
On the other hand, the store-bought fruit is always ripe.
But we’ll have missed the sun on our face,
and the dirt on our hands;
most of all, the sweet anticipation of that delicate first bite.
