A simple example of how greater effort doesn’t always lead to better results:
You can plunge, plunge, plunge until your muscles burn and your face turns red.
But if there’s no water in the toilet bowl, the plunger doesn’t work.
There are other examples:
- Training without rest.
- Loving without commitment.
- Building something without a plan.
