“Sleep on it.”

There is a reason this phrase has stuck around.

We think it’s simply a reminder to take a moment before making an important decision—wise advice, and fairly obvious.

But this age-old idiom was meant to be taken literally: actually sleep on it.

Because several amazing things happen when we sleep. Memories are consolidated, ideas clarified, connections made…

Our subconscious is busy at work, finally free from the distractions of the day.

It works for us while we sleep. 

When we circle back in the morning, we will find the hard decision magically got easier.
