Climbing is supposed to be fun

That’s how climbing starts out for all of us. 

But eventually, we succeed in doing something we never thought we’d do. 

And that success leads to a new identity as a climber. 

And that new identity leads to new and ambitious goals. 

And those goals lead to an awful lot of failure. 

And that failure often leads to more work, pursuing the next goal.

None of that is bad. But sometimes we need a simple but important reminder:

Climbing is supposed to be fun.

That’s why we chose it in the first place.
