We humans have a tendency toward a certain arrogance that everything is new on our watch.
Times have never been this bad. (regarding politics, social isolation, cultural dissonance)
Or have they?
Same goes in reverse if you think times have never been this good.
Humans have been around for hundreds of thousands of years, and we’ve behaved in many of the same ways before.
We learn in cycles.
Things are not worse or better than ever before, simply different.
